Platform update: execution latency improvements

Why latency matters at scale

For a discretionary trader clicking a chart, a few milliseconds of latency is imperceptible. For a funded trader working the open across three instruments, latency is the difference between an execution edge and an execution tax — one that quietly gets larger with account size.

What we changed

The old routing layer added a hop through a shared edge before reaching the venue. The new stack keeps that hop only when strictly required for compliance, and colocates the rest of the path with the match engine.

Where you'll feel it

The improvement is largest on aggressive orders at high-volatility moments — the open, economic prints, and closing auctions. Passive fills feel the least change, because their latency budget is already dominated by queue position rather than transport.
